Gold Prices yesterday

This morning, after the mini-crash yesterday afternoon, I checked the gold-spot prices and noticed something very odd (at least to me.) Maybe it is because of my naiveté when it comes to the financial world. I was checking the spot prices because of was thinking of selling gold, the reason I was thinking of selling gold is because I had always thought that the price goes up in times of uncertainty. Anyhow, what was odd was that there was a sharp dip in the Hong Kong price of gold and the New York price of gold was relatively steady. Am I wrong about this theory on gold?

More on gold prices yesterday here.

On the day of the Oscars when some are predicting Gore will win one, some are saying that if he DOES win it should not be for “best documentary.”

The fact that science has become politicized is the saddest part of this whole mess. Science is not supposed to be “right” or “left” or even “libertarian” science is supposed to be “true” or “false”. Report what happens and let the ice chips fall where they may. Speaking of climate, this is old news but I had not yet started this blog when it was first reported (this is my first entry.) Climate models certainly did not predict the temperature where I live:
